Consider the massive impact this decision has had over the last 1700 years! What might the Body of Christ look like today had we not aligned with a man-made system which exalted itself above the original Kingdom order set in place by God? [Isaiah 40:28, Dan 7:25] It triggered the concept of Replacement Theology, setting Christianity as a separate religion, apart from, superior to and in conflict with Judaism. On March 7th, 321 AD a decree was issued that began the process of bringing division for following the Sabbath and establishing the Day of the Sun as holy. Emperor Constantine made the following declaration, Then 43 years later, in 364 A.D., it was ratified by the Council of Laodicea. Canon Law XXIX: “Christians shall not Judaise and be idle on Saturday, but shall work on that day; but the Lord’s day (Sun-Day) they shall especially honour, and, as being Christians, shall if possible, do no work on that day. If, however, they are found Judaising, they shall be shut out from Christ (excommunicated).” Canon XXVII: “No one shall accept festal presents from Jews and heretics, or keep the festivals with them.” Consider again, what might the Body of Christ look like today had we not aligned with a man-made system which exalted itself above the original Kingdom order set in place by God?
