“Every tongue will confess Jesus King of the Nations”
Design Description:
This banner is a small-scale replica of the gigantic flag of the same name, printed on polyester. It was designed by Jaime Irizarry of Puerto Rico in response to a vision.
The giant flag is (18 meters X 30 meters (60' X 100') large enough to cover a basketball court. It weighs 68kg (150 lbs) It is made up of 247 polyester flags each measuring 0.9 by 1.5 meters (3' x 5'), the official flags of 192 countries and 55 territories with autonomous governments.
These flags are sewn side by side in English alphabetical order. Together, they are surrounded on all sides by a coloured border of blue, red and brown.
Symbolically above the national flags is a band of blue with the words JESUS KING OF THE NATIONS in white letters. Blue represents the kingdom of heaven from which Jesus Christ will return to be the King of all nations.
Across the bottom of the national flags is a band of brown with the words EVERY TONGUE WILL CONFESS in white letters. Brown represents the earth and the subjects of His kingdom declaring His lordship, all of us proclaiming Him as King.
This statement is part of Philippians 2 which states that: Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2 5-12 NASB)
The national flags are enclosed on both sides by two bands of RED to represent the blood of Jesus Christ by whom the revelation and re-establishing relationship with the Father is Heaven is achieved, it’s the connection of heaven and earth, it also symbolizes God’s loving embrace to all the nations of the world.
Over the years, Jaime has come to see the following symbolic meanings for the flag.
An army banner like a trumpet or shofar call to all the nations to gather for a holy convocation;
A tallit or prayer shawl a mantle for the nations to be cover with His Majesty;
A tabernacle for the world drawing people to come together and worship His majesty;
A coat of many colours like Joseph was given a coat of many colours. It seems to me that we can interpret that the colors in Joseph coat represented the nations flags. When it was put on Joseph (Israel’s favorite son) it is a picture of a time when all nations will embrace Israel, they will embrace Jesus;
An Ark; Noah’s Ark was full of animals and which represent the territories of the world. A fulfillment of a promise of restoration;
A Satellite Dish as it is opened, sending a message to the heavens and the rest of the world;
His Robe which fills the temple;
A Body Jesus Christ is the head and we, amongst the nations, are the body parts.
This banner is a 247th size replica of the giant banner and measures 0.9 by 1.5 meters (3' x 5').
Please note: this special banners is not the same as all the other OOOMB banners. It is an image of the giant flag printed onto polyester. It does not have a pole sleeve like OOOMB banners, but has two eyelets in the seam to allow it to be attached to a flagpole. We really encourage you to purchase it!.
