Glorianne Jackson - Endorsed Banner Coach « Coach Directory
A little about me…
I started dance ministry work in 1985. Through continuing revelation using the tools, I have progressed from using large streamers in 1999 to large flags in 2001, and then to the banners of this ministry in 2003. I purchased a ‘His Glory’ banner and the last of David’s first book. I was most encouraged when David led the men of Chicago in ‘Harvest 2006’ - a Prayer Service for Chicagoland at the University of Illinois Pavilion.
My professional background includes work as an instructor of dance at Marymount Manhattan College and Hunter College in New York City. I also taught dance in various programs, including: Arthur Mitchell’s Dance Theatre of Harlem, the Newark Community Center of the Arts in New Jersey, the Ministry of Education and Conservatorio de Castella in Costa Rica, the Mildred B. Haessler Ballet School and the South Side Community Art Center in Chicago. I have also spent many years working as a dance therapist and later a special education teacher.
I'm motivated to train and equip others in the use of banners because…
We are in an extended season of new forms of worship incorporating the liturgical arts. I am motivated by the call on my life to uplift banners for the Lord, and I desire to help others understand and see (visually and spiritually) the benefits of working and moving in unity among the people of our kingdom and the people of world.
Who I see as my main focus for training and equipping…
I enjoy working and teaching people of all ages - those who move easily and those who think they have two left feet - all willing to yield their hearts to the will of the Lord.
I live in Chicago. I have thus far traveled and worked with mis projects in several countries in Central America. I am willing to go wherever the Lord’s calling leads me.
Benefits from attending a banner workshop/event…
When facilitating a workshop it is my hope that each person clearly receives information, knowledge, experiential training, and answers to the personal questions that encouraged them to attend. In addition to the these understandings, we expect that the presence of God also shows up to fill in the gaps, expand upon what was seen and heard, and add His Super to our natural revelations.
My experience with banners has inspired to occasionally write poetry again. Surely God has many new ways He is calling believers to the field. Banners carry messages from God. They come to us individually and corporately. Everyone can receive and use banners, from the smallest child to the senior in a wheel chair. I recall a time when my three-year-old grandniece took a banner and waved for over thirty minutes in her backyard. Her expressions ranged from serious, strong engagement to joy and beyond-words ecstatic encounter. She did not want to come into dinner and was content with the banner as the dark of night descended. By the grace of God we each receive from HIM.
In what kinds of ways do you anticipate training people to use banners?
I believe it is extremely important to train people in terms of the biblical basis for banners, appropriate usage and their unique Godly calling. I am inspired to work with projects for large-scale public venues, small group and individual healing, as well as, dance ministry.
