Banners in Budapest

Posted on 14 March, 2016 by David Stanfield

A friend who wields banners in Budapest, Hungary, recently sent me this note, which I would love share with you.

“The new banners arrived yesterday afternoon. We were so delighted. They are absolutely gorgeous! Your years of researching - trial and error to find excellent printed banners - have paid off. You can't tell they are not hand painted. We immediately put them on the poles and took them out to the garden.

The Lord has been communicating with me lately about the baptism of fire in various ways, and to wield the Holy Fire banner was such a continuation of that powerful dialog.

Over the Easter and Passover weekend, we attended a reconciliation event at the Budapest House of Prayer… People from several of the surrounding countries (Slovakia, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Romania, Poland, etc.) met to confess their sins against other nations and to forgive. We brought banners to both evening worship services and joined other wielders with banners, both simple and artistic.

We didn’t all speak the same language - yet we did. It was wonderful to see the expression on one young man’s face when I pressed a large ‘Peace’ banner into his hands. He had a real anointing to express worship through movement and colour, with a couple of his own banners, and I could see surprise and delight overcome him as he began to fill the room with silk and symbolism.

I remember the first time I held an OOOMB banner in my own hands. It was like moving up to another level to communication to and with and on behalf of the Holy Spirit.

There aren’t adequate words to thank you for your banners.”
