He’s Not A Tame Lion

Posted on 25 April, 2016 by David Stanfield

Take a look at this spectacular custom banner we recently made for a lady here in Australia.

He’s Not A Tame LionShe had a vision of the lion roaring with flames replacing his mane.

Looking at the image, I immediately thought of a quote in C.S. Lewis’ The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. It is made about the lion Aslan by Tumnus the faun to Queen Lucy. Lucy was wishing Aslan wouldn’t leave after the coronation ceremony, but as he padded away down the beach, Tumnus says, “He’s not a TAME lion you know!”

If you have an idea for a unique banner, let us create it for you. Simply go to our website and click on ‘Custom Banners’. This page steps you through the process of submitting your design and allows you to attach files showing us a sketch or image you would like us to interpret in silk.

Hundreds of people across the globe have given us the privilege of creating a custom banner just for them.

Go for it! We would love to serve you in this way.

Banners in the Bible

Isaiah 62:10,11
Pass through, pass through the gates! Prepare the way for the people. Build up, build up the highway! Remove the stones. Raise a banner for the nations. The LORD has made proclamation to the ends of the earth: Say to the Daughter of Zion, 'See, your Saviour comes! See, his reward is with Him, and His recompense accompanies Him'.

John 12:30-32
Jesus said, 'This voice was for your benefit, not Mine. Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out. But I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself'.

Isaiah 13:1-4
An oracle concerning Babylon that Isaiah son of Amoz saw: Raise a banner on a bare hilltop, shout to them; beckon to them to enter the gates of the nobles. I have commanded my holy ones; I have summoned my warriors to carry out my wrath- those who rejoice in my triumph. Listen, a noise on the mountains, like that of a great multitude! Listen, an uproar among the kingdoms, like nations massing together! The LORD Almighty is mustering an army for war.
